Group Volunteering

At Meals on Wheels of Wake County, we believe that every senior should have a fully nourished life where health, well-being and quality of life can be sustained and even flourish. Our work helps seniors to live out the independent lives they deserve and to stay in the communities where they’ve established roots so they can enjoy the kind of personal connections that will help them thrive.

When you volunteer as a group for Meals on Wheels of Wake County, you are extending a part of that community to the clients we serve.

Help Meals on Wheels of Wake County as a group:

Group members or employees can volunteer to deliver meals. Delivering meals typically takes about 60 to 90 minutes. At this time we need volunteers for all Wake County meal pick-up locations. Please use the below form to sign up for group volunteering.

Can't commit to a regular delivery schedule? Then perhaps a one time "team building" event is right for you.  Pick one day and we can reserve several routes for you, depending on the location you select. A staff member will help you plan the experience. Please use the Group Volunteering Application below.

Donations can directly provide meals for seniors neighbors.  Here's an idea of how your donation can help: $140 provides meals for one person for one month; $840 provides meals for six months; $1,700 provides meals for one year for one person.

Compile supplemental food for our clients.  This can be done right in your office! Click here for specific details about items that are needed and how to deliver them.
